Last night I met with many of my companions from the first half of my walk including a Croation chap I met in St Jean and haven't seen since; my "Angel" Ingrid who translated at the medical centre when I was so sick; and a remarkable Australian lady Sue whose husband died in Leon. She has walked on for him and he has been given a Compostella too.
Today I hope to find the pilgrim's office and gain my Compostella, the certificate that I have finished, and see some of my friends from the second half.

Hi Kate
ReplyDeleteWe're just back from our seafaring camino on the south Pacific. Congratulations on making it to Santiago, we've been thinking of you but have not internet connection for two weeks to follow your progress. Some of those photos are so familiar and warm the cockles of our hearts. We look forward to sharing many stories when you return to the land down under. The journey continues, peregrina, walk on and been camino

Thought you must have been on the high seas! Very strange to not wake and start walking... Saw last pilgrim in Madrid airport as I left for Sicily to meet Sophie again. No flechas to guide me any more...
