Suburbia

Despite being a rain free day, today was a bit of a slog. Industrial and apartment towers, asphalt and paving: all made the going tough. A perfect cappuccino at a pasteleria in Ponferrada and a free extra cake with my cafe con leche in a small village sweetened the day.

The last stretch into Cacabelos was softened by the early fruit on cherry trees and the fresh shoots on the oaks. An ensuite bathroom in a 3 (only!) bed dorm also lifted the spirits at the end of the day!
